PADI ReActivate (eLearning + Pool Session)

Refresh your knowledge. Reset your confidence.

Been out of the water long enough that the theory feels fuzzy too? PADI ReActivate brings you back up to speed on both. Start with a short online review of dive knowledge at your own pace, then join a YAY Scuba instructor in the pool to practice your skills until they feel natural again. When you're done, you'll receive an updated certification card showing your ReActivate date, so dive operators can see your skills are current.

What you'll review online

  • Dive planning and safety: Refresh the key concepts behind safe, enjoyable diving.
  • Equipment: Brush up on how your gear works and how to check it.
  • Problem management: Review how to prevent and handle common issues underwater.

What you'll practice in the pool

  • Gear setup: Assemble, check, and put on your scuba unit.
  • Core skills: Mask clearing, regulator recovery, and alternate air source use.
  • Buoyancy: Get your trim and hovering dialed back in.
  • Ascents, descents, and problem handling: Practice what to do if something doesn't go as planned.

How it works

Complete the PADI ReActivate eLearning on your phone, tablet, or computer whenever it suits you. Then book your pool session with a YAY Scuba instructor. We'll review the essential safety skills first, then spend the rest of the time on whatever you want to work on most. You set the pace.

Who it's for

  • Certified divers who haven't been diving in a year or more
  • Divers who want a full refresh of both knowledge and skills
  • Anyone heading on a dive trip who wants an updated certification card to show the dive operator
