The adjustable features of a high-end primary, packed into a compact backup.

Your alternate air source should perform like your primary, and the Onyx II Octo does. It builds on the original Onyx, a regulator known for easy breathing, and adds an anodized aluminum heat sink for better cold-water performance. It's lightweight and low profile, it resists free-flow on the surface, and it breathes smoothly underwater. Its yellow accents and 36" braided hose make it easy for your buddy to find.

Features

  • Pneumatically balanced downstream valve: Delivers smooth, easy airflow when you or your buddy need it.
  • Adjustable inhalation resistance: A diver-controlled knob lets you set the cracking pressure to suit your preference or the conditions.
  • Venturi lever: A dive/pre-dive control that stops free-flows on the surface and during entries.
  • Anti-freezing heat sink: The anodized aluminum heat sink draws away cold and improves performance in chilly water.
  • Ergonomic silicone mouthpiece: Reduces jaw fatigue.
  • High visibility: Yellow cover and a 36" (91.4 cm) braided LP hose with 3/8" threads. The braided hose is flexible, high-flow, and highly abrasion-resistant.
  • Compact and lightweight: Just 0.6 lbs (275 g) without the hose, with a low profile that fits cleanly into any setup.
  • Durable, grippy build: Flexible and rigid thermoplastics, elastomeric polymer, and silicone rubber make it strong yet soft to the touch.
  • Nitrox ready: Factory ready for EAN mixes up to 40%.

Materials: Thermoplastic cover and case, anodized aluminum heat sink, 316 stainless steel poppet seat insert with silicone overmold, elastomeric polymer diaphragm, elastomer exhaust valve, and silicone rubber mouthpiece.

The Perfect Pair
Pair it with the Zeagle Onyx II Regulator for a complete, matched setup with the same smooth breathing on your primary and your backup.
